Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium organised science exhibition to showcase the hidden scientific knowledge among children. Students of our school conducted two experiments- one on emf to show why series connection cannot be used while wiring the house, another experiment was conducted to demonstrate how a laser beam passes from denser to rarer medium. Many schools had participated and it was a good motivating event for the students.
Young SCS Scientists@ Infosys:
Two young SCS scientists teams took part in science and tech fair “Episteme-2018” on 24th and 25th November organized by Infosys. The first team comprising Sushil Kumar S, Sujan K, Mitesh J and Naveen Dhaka of Grade IX presented their innovative model “Automated Solar Blinds” . This model was built in concern of saving electricity in houses. The idea was highly appreciated. The second team comprising Sushil Kumar S, Sujan K and Shravanth of Grade IX participated in Robotics Competition. They made an Autonomous Bot that could solve a maze based on an algorithm .
Hithesh A of grade III won first place in “16th Prodigy Plus State Level Competition-2018”, Bangalore held on 28 October.
Chinmayee of Grade 1 secured 2nd place in Speed System “Mathematics Talents Search Exam - 2018”.
Science National Olympiads:
Amogh Rao of grade IV secured “Medal of Distinction” with gold medal at zonal level in National Science Olympiad 2018-19. In “School Topper Medals” category students won 9 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 8 bronze medals.
International Mathematics Olympiad:
SCS bagged 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 14 bronze medals in “School Topper Medals” at level-one in International Mathematics Olympiad 2018-19.
